Mette Bille is a Danish - born singer/songwriter who has spent many recent years living in London. She is currently living in Copenhagen in Denmark.
As well as performing in venues across London, Mette has also performed in Europe, including events at the Jazz festival in Copenhagen in Denmark, and in Luxembourg.
Currently Mette is working on her own studio project and live projects. The project is an amalgam of Jazz and experimental pop influences with a minimal, yet warm undertone. Mette is co-producing her new material with Jez Nabarro, who is also working on electronics, beats and playing harmonica.
Mette Bille has a diverse musical heritage, having performed in numerous bands, varying from experimental pop/rock, jazz, free improvisation and other contemporary styles.
Among others, Mette has worked with:
-Michael Young and Tim Blackwell in their SWARM project.
-Walter Cardew and the band Danny Dark.
-The band Cartridge.
-Quinta - with whom Mette is still collaborating.
Mette has her background in the musical academic field. She has a degree in Music and a Masters in Composition at Goldsmiths College, London, UK.
